Fellowship begins at 6 p.m., with dinner served at 6:30 p.m.

The cost is $29 per person with complimentary parking.  Guests should plan to park on the lower level at the rear of the facility and enter through that entrance.

Council Executive Board Member Robin Smith of KMOV-TV (Channel 4) in St. Louis will serve as the evening's mistress of ceremonies.

We are pleased to have Eagle Scout Josh Sundquist join us for our dinner.

Josh is a Paralympic ski racer and nationally known inspirational speaker. He has been featured on CNN and in USA TODAY and has spoken to hundreds of thousands of people across the country.

At age 9, Josh was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer and given a 50 percent chance to live. He spent a year on chemotherapy treatments and his left leg was amputated. Doctors declared Josh cured of the disease at age 13 and he took up ski racing three years later. He trained for the next six years, and in 2006 he was named to the U.S. Paralympic Ski Team for the 2006 Paralympics in Turino, Italy.

In Josh's book, A Leg Up, he credits a Scouting Board of Review with changing his perspective on life.  Josh is a charismatic speaker who will not only entertain, but provide a great message.

Learn more about Josh at www.joshsundquist.com.

The highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the 2009 Silver Beaver Awards.  The Silver Beaver is the highest award a local council may present to a volunteer for exceptional service to both Scouting and the community-at-large.

Many other surprises are planned, too, so look here for updates.

Invitations were mailed to council executive board members, council members-at-large, district committee members, district commissioner staff, chartered organization representatives, unit committee chairmen and unit leaders.

Didn't get your invitation?  Download your reply card and mail your payment to the MacArthur Service Center.
