During a normal week at Camp Lewallen there may be two hundred Scouts, leaders, and staff encamped.  It will not be possible to locate your party while you wait.  A staff member will try to assess your level of emergency when you call and act appropriately.

Scouts are not encouraged to call home, and must have a written note from their Scoutmaster to do so.  We enforce this rule to help your son's Scoutmaster be aware of any cases of homesickness.  We want your son to be successful and stay the entire session.  Scouts who leave because of homesickness tend to become embarrassed among their fellow Scouts and classmates.  If your son becomes homesick, our staff is available to help your Scoutmaster comfort and keep your son to a successful completion.
