During a normal week, there may be a thousand Scouts, leaders, and staff at S-F.  It will not be possible to locate your party while you wait on the telephone.  A staff member will try to assess your level of emergency when you call and act appropriately.  Although our emergency phone is manned 24 hours a day, please refrain from calling between the hours of 10 p.m. and 8 a.m. when possible.

Each camp has a pay phone available to Scouts.  Scouts are not encouraged to call home, and must have a written note from their Scoutmaster to do so.  We enforce this rule to help your son's Scoutmaster be aware of any cases of homesickness.  We want your son to be successful and stay the entire session.  Scouts who leave because of homesickness often are embarrassed before fellow Scouts and classmates.  If your son becomes homesick, our staff is available to help your Scoutmaster assist him and help him complete a successful week at camp.
