Your campsite and Swift facilities

Your crew's campsite will be your home away from home.  We have five campsites that each have the same equipment.  Your campsite will be in a shady part of Swift Base.  On it will be a number of wooden platform tents.  Some hold two, most hold three, campers.

Yes, boys in tents with boys, girls with girls!

A normal week at Swift will have approximately 150 campers, leaders and staff.  Your campsite will also contain a picnic table and dining fly (canopy) for your crew to gather under and play games, listen to music or whatever.  Each campsite has a latrine area with a washstand.  The tents are already set up for you on wooden platforms.  When those fill, your crew will put up additional tents.  In the tents you will find cots.  You bring all the rest. See our suggested equipment list for all to bring.

In the central area of Swift Base is the Swift Lodge.  Here you will eat your meals.  It also houses the camp business office, trading post, quartermaster, leader showers and bathrooms.  To go on out programs such as mountain biking, rappelling, rock climbing and the ropes courses, you will gather under flys set up around the lodge.

Hot showers are available in the camper shower building.  We have a basketball court which is lit at night, and a sand volleyball court.  Just down the road are the rifle and archery range, and the corral.  Looking out the front of the lodge you can see the lake, with all its great activities.
