Enhance your unit’s program and leadership with videos that are available at your nearest Scout Office. Some instructional videos are for sale in the Scout Shops while others are available through the Council’s training service. The Council is converting a number of VHS tapes to DVD and making them available for a nominal fee.

The following videos are available upon request from Training Services. Simply send an email request to training@stlbsa.org requesting which of the following videos you require and the date you need the finished product. Training Services will produce a DVD or CD with the videos and notify you when it is ready. Each CD or DVD will cost $5 if picked up at the office or $8 if mailed. Please allow three to five working days for your order to be processed.

Ø Venturing Crew Officer’s Orientation- (CD) This multi-media program covers specific leadership skills in program planning, money earning, and running effective committees. This presentation should be a first step in training newly elected crew officers.
Ø Philmont: Keys to a Successful Wilderness Adventure- (DVD) Learn what to take and how to prepare for a Philmont trek.
Ø Training the Chartered Organization Representative- This DVD contains the three basic elements to help you train chartered organization representatives (COR).
Ø Meetings of the District- This interactive DVD will help top district leaders help their districts become Quality Districts and help units succeed. It includes key 3 meetings, district committee meetings, commissioner meetings, and Roundtables.
Ø Commissioner Service and District Operation Support- This DVD includes District Key 3 Orientation, District Nominating Committee, Unit Commissioner’ Orientation: Helping Units Succeed, Unit Problem Solving for Commissioners, and Highlights of District Operations for the 21st Century.

Ø Fast Start Orientation for Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts- This DVD describes how a Cub Scout or a Boy Scout unit is organized and how it should run. The Cub Scout section has everything you need to plan and run a meeting. The Boy Scout section has an introduction, how the troop meeting should run, what happens during the outdoor program and how the committee supports the troop.
Ø Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmaster Leader Specific Training- This DVD is for trainers to use as an enhancement to the classroom instruction.
Ø Selling and Supporting Venturing- this DVD includes section for the Scoutmaster, the religious leader, and the professional.
Ø Communicating Well- This DVD is part of the National Youth Leadership Training. It specifically talks about how to communicate and some of the barriers to good communication.
