GUESS WHAT'S POPPING!
Now's the time to begin planning for this year's Popcorn Sale!  Most of you know just how good Camp Masters Popcorn is, but do you know how good it is for your unit and the council?  For more information or to sign up, click the "Popcorn" button above.  Here's the skinny on why popcorn is such a great fundraiser for your Scouts to participate in:

  • 70 percent return to Scouting on products sold
  • 40 percent commission returned to units on top three high-end items
  • No contracts or up-front money
  • Support network in place to assist units with their sale
  • Online ordering available
  • Scouts can sell in their uniform
  • Non-food items available in addition to popcorn products
  • Prizes are available as incentives for Scouts
  • Top sellers prizes available for any Scout who sells $1,500 or more of popcorn

Thanks goes out to Larry Smith for agreeing to be this year's popcorn chairman!  We know that the Boone Trails District will sell more popcorn this year than last.  The sale starts Nov. 7 and ends Nov. 28.  If you still need to sign up, click below for the popcorn commitment card.

CUB SCOUT ADVANCEMENT DAY
A big thank you goes out to all the volunteers who made this day happen.  The Cub Scout Advancement Day was a huge success and we had more than 140 in attendance.  The Boone Trails District wants to thank all the Venturers who were at the event and made it run so well.

SCOUTING FOR FOOD
Yes, it is that time of year again.  Scouting for Food is right around the corner, and we are expecting to collect hundreds of thousands of cans.  With the fledgling economy, more and more families are using the food banks to which we deliver can goods.  These food banks count on that one day in November when all these young men dressed in khaki and blue shirts come to their pantries with truckloads of canned goods.  This year, bag distribution day is Nov. 15 and bag pick-up day is Nov. 22.  Units, please mark your calendars for these two days!  If you have not already signed up, click on the link below and fill out the commitment card.
If you are in St. Charles County, you can print your area maps off Google Maps.  You need to know what number area you have, numbers 001-064.  Then type exactly this into Google Maps:

                                        BT SFF Area
your number

Then click on Item A on the map and click on "BT SFF Area" in the dialog box.  If you don't know your area number, give Ben or Jared a call at 314-256-3086 or 314-256-3092.  For a link to Goole Maps, click here!
