FIRST-YEAR FIRST CLASS
Remember that Boy Scouts who achieve their First Class rank by the end of their first year in Scouting -- or the start of their second summer camp -- have a 70 percent chance of completing the Eagle rank. Encourage your unit to adopt a First-Year First Class advancement program.
Have a fun year building Scouts of character!
WE HAVE AWESOME MERIT BADGE SKILL CENTERS THIS YEAR!!
Check out the list below for the lineup and dates. The merit badge skill center flyers will be made available at Roundtable and online at least two months prior to the skill center. As always, registrations for district skill centers are by unit only according to the instructions on the flyer. We always need additional merit badge counselors for our workshops. Please consider volunteering to help lighten the load on many of our dedicated Scouters. E-mail Todd to volunteer.
Get ready for a great year of Scouting advancement! In the upcoming year, we have many wonderful things in store for our packs, troops and crews. Watch this website for flyers and registration materials, which will always be available two months before the event. These materials will also be available at Roundtable meetings.

DISTRICT EAGLE SCOUT BOARD OF REVIEW
Our district Eagle Board chairman is Mike Griffin. Mike can be contacted at 636-485-7810 or Eagle@griffweb.com. District Eagle Boards for project reviews and final reviews are held on every second and fourth Monday of the month at Dardenne Presbyrterian Church. You must call Mike for an appointment.
A note from Mike Griffin, our Eagle Board Chairman. . .
As reviewers of the Eagle Scout process, we have a wealth of information that will help leaders, parents and Scouts through each step. By sharing this information, we hope to ensure the success of each candidate and help leaders and parents understand their role. We would like to see each Scout who appears before us be successful in his attempt at project approval and final Eagle board. Please share these documents with your leaders and parents. We have also included the guidelines for benefitting organizations. As always, feel free to contact me or any of the reviewers on the Boone Trails District Eagle Board with any questions or concerns. We are here to serve you.
Yours in Scouting,
Mike Griffin
