Val Ferguson has agreed to serve as our district commissioner for 2009. She will replace Bettie Williams after two years of service. Special thanks to Bettie for all of her hard work and dedication.

Val will have a commissioners staff that is the unit-service arm of the Scouting program. Unit commissioners, or UCs, are assigned units to which they make visits to periodically to help and assist their units and ensure they are providing a quality program. We would like to have a three-to-one ratio of units to unit commissioners, and we currently are way off of that ratio with only six UCs.
