The 2010 Friends of Scouting campaign is under way.  Of the Greater St. Louis Area Council's budget, a full 29 percent must come from this annual fundraising drive in order to provide the promised Scouting programs in our area.

Kick-off (Jan. 20):
$4,200 (21%)

1st Report (Feb. 23):

2nd Report (Mar. 23):

Final Report (April 30):

The campaign is organized into two divisions -- Family and Community/Corporate.  Each is led by a chairman who oversees new and veteran volunteers who solicit financial support of Scouting locally.  The overall campaign goal is $20,000.

COMMUNITY/CORPORATE CAMPAIGN
The community/corporate campaign is being led by chairman Dennis Poshard, President and CEO of Arthur Agency in Carbondale.  He oversees several teams of volunteers throughout southern Illinois who personally ask businesses, service organizations, community groups and individuals to enroll as Friends of Scouting.  Their goal is $10,000.

FAMILY CAMPAIGN
Led by chairman Walter Tomczak, the family campaign asks for family of Scouts to support a program from which they know first hand their child benefits.  Volunteer Trailblazers give a presentation at well attended meetings.  Units that achieve their individual goals earn Free Rank Advancement for one full year at the Scout Shop.  The family campaign has a goal, among all units, of $10,000.
