Does protecting the law involve bravery? Does telling the truth equal courage? Investigate the judicial system and its important role in our society. Scouts re-enact a trial in our historic courtrooms and debate historic and contemporary issues. An attorney and a National Park Service Law Enforcement Ranger discuss their roles and responsibilities in society. Address the Law Merit Badge. (At the Historic Old Courthouse) This workshop is free.
Reservations for the Law Merit Badge workshop will be taken beginning 8:00 a.m. on October 1, 2008. For reservations, please call 314-655-1635. You must speak directly with the reservationist to confirm your reservation. No e-mail or voice-mail reservations will be accepted. Space is limited. Make your reservation early.

Scouts should report to the Old Courthouse, 11 North Fourth Street., where the entire workshop will take place. Some affordable options for parking are the Arch Garage, located at Washington Ave. and Memorial Drive, for $6.00 or the Riverfront Levee parking, which may price up to $4.00.
Scouts may bring a light snack to eat during one of the morning breaks. No lunch break will be given. There are a wide variety of restaurants located within a short walking distance of the Old Courthouse or if you prefer sack lunches a space will be provided for you to eat after the program. |
