Basic Training Requirements

SEA SCOUT ADULT LEADER TRAINING
If you are an advisor to a Ship and need to be trained, here is your opportunity Sea Scout Adult Leader Training.

New Leader Essentials helps with developing an understanding of Scouting goals, organization and programs.  This training is the beginning point and is a required component to be considered a trained Cub Scout, Boy Scout  or Venturer leader.  It is usually done in conjunction with leader-specific training listed below.

Cub Scout Leader Training is designed for the den leader, assistant den leader, Cubmaster, assistant Cubmaster and committee member.  This training is usually five hours in length and is offered in several formats for  your convenience. 

Boy Scout Leader Training is divided into Scoutmaster/Assistant Scoutmaster Training and Troop Committee Training.  The Scoutmaster/Assistant Scoutmaster Training lasts about nine hours and is provided in many formats to meet your needs. Introduction to Outdoor Skills is also required for SM/ASM and is conducted over a weekend.  Troop Committee Training is designed for troop committee members and lasts about five hours.

Venturing and Exploring Basic Leader Training is a five-hour session designed to introduce crew and post adult leaders to the basic information needed to operate a challenging and quality program.
