It is with pleasure that we present the 2013-17 Strategic Plan of the Greater St. Louis Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. The pages outline the strategic imperatives that will direct Scouting development and activity in our council over the next five years.
This plan is the product of more than nine months of work and feedback from hundreds of our volunteers across our 37 counties in Missouri and Illinois. It was developed through seven autonomous committees whose members visualized what Scouting can be in our council by 2017. This plan was then refined by a committee
of our top volunteer leadership, and then was presented to more than 250 volunteers at a series of five Fireside Chats held throughout our territory to garner feedback and input. It was approved by our executive board earlier this spring.
The work now begins to implement our plan. By driving action and delivering results through the strategic imperatives, we’ll advance Scouting in the Greater St. Louis region and continue to be among the strongest councils within the Boy Scouts of America. We are grateful for your leadership and support of the Scouting program, and we look forward to partnering with you to bring to life the 2013-17 Strategic Plan!Download a compressed version
