Certified Instructor Training for Shooting Sports
Beaumont Scout Reservation
The Guide to Safe Scouting mandates that all Boy Scout, Venturer and Explorer shooting sports activities “must have a certified NRA Range Safety Officer directly supervising all live fire on the range. Additionally the instruction offered must be done by a currently certified NRA Certified Instructor in the specific discipline being utilized. These must be two separate individuals.”
In order to meet these requirements, courses will be taught in the following disciplines
- March 30-April 1, 2012---> Pistol Instructor --> Sverdrup Lodge
- August 18, 2012 --> Range Safety Officer --> Emerson Theatre
- September 14-16, 2012 --> Rifle Instructor --> Emerson Theatre
- October 12-14, 2012 --> Shotgun Instructor --> Emerson Theatre
- November 2-4, 2012 --> Pistol Instructor --> Emerson Theatre
