Camping at Lewallen

Camp Lewallen is 580 acres of Scouting paradise in Southeast Missouri.  Located at the end of Highway K, just west of Highway 67 north of Silva, MO in Wayne County, just 30 miles south of our S bar F Scout Ranch.

Year-round tent camping is available for Scout troops, Venture crews and Explorer posts in the Camporee Area.
Lake Potashnick and the St. Francis River provide fishing opportunities. A pioneering kit for weekend use by Scout troops.

Logan Lodge has bunks for 14, refrigerator, range and wood-burning stove. The cabin was formerly the Health Lodge. It was renovated by the Camp Lewallen Quartermaster Corps and is ready for use. A porta-potty is provided. Year-round water is available at the Ranger station. Webelos dens may use Logan Lodge from April through September with the exception of during summer camp.

Summer Camp at Lewallen
Boy Scout Summer Camp and a Webelos Mini-camp are held during the summer at Lewallen.  You can find detailed information on those two programs elsewhere on this website.

The DeReign Climbing Tower is available year-round for troops and crews. The climbing tower is available to Scouts, Venturers and Explorers. It is a great weekend program.  The troop, crew or post must provide its own trained leader.

The ten mile Anpetu-we Trail is available for Boy Scouts and Venturers, and a great hiking experience.
