Come Join us at Catholic Adventure Week (CAW) 2012

July 15-21, 2012

at S bar F’s Swift Explorer Base

Our goal in providing this week for our Catholic Boy Scouts is to give them an experience of living their faith, growing in their faith, and loving their faith within the Scouting movement and especially out in the wonders of God’s creation.

While at Swift for CAW, Scouts can camp with their troop or if they would like to attend alone a “provisional troop” will be made for one of the campsites with leadership provided by members of the Catholic Committee on Scouting, BSA.

During CAW, Scouts will be exposed to the entire High Adventure program offered at Swift – rappelling, rock climbing, high & low ropes, sailing, water skiing, tubing, rifle, archery, etc.   Intertwined with the outstanding program offered by the Swift staff, there will be opportunities for prayer, religious instruction, and reflection.  We also enjoy Mass on Friday and the assistance of seminarians.   Meal preparation is dining hall style and allows time for more program opportunities.

Bring your new crossover WEBELOS for a spectacular first summer camp experience!   The week is $245 per Scout and $80 for adults (free adult ratio and camper savings applies similar to other summer camp weeks).  To reserve spots for youth is just $5 per Scout.   If your troop would like to register, please use the summer camp lottery troop form above and indicate that you would like reserve spots for the CAW.  This camp is first come / first served.  For each Scout to be registered, please also use the individual form in the attachments link whether coming with the troop or individually.  Please submit registrations at the earliest convenience.

Individual adult forms will be available in the program guide.

For other Registration Information and the Program leaders guide (available in Feb. 2012), call the camping service department at 314-361-0600 or Tom at tkroenung@stlbsa.org.  We hope you and your Scouts will take advantage of this unique summer camp experience!
