Cub Scouting Day One
Held in October at Beaumont Scout Reservation, this fall adventure is for new Cub Scouts to experience their first Scouting event.
Scouting for FoodStarted in St. Louis in 1985, the nation's largest one-day food drive utilizes youth and adult manpower to collect 2 million canned items for more than 500 area food pantries. Read about the council's 2012 Scouting For Food efforts

Gravois Trail Volunteer Recognition DinnerThis district dinner is a celebration of achievement for volunteers who have impacted their units or the district. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.
Annual District Hike
Join us on May 11 at Clydesdale Park (9801 Green Park Rd., St. Louis, MO 63123) for the fourth annual Gravois Trail District Hike. The trek (choose from 3, 5 or 10 mile courses) is a great way to get outside while getting to know other units in the Gravois Trail District. Units can register on the morning of the hike beginning at 8:30 a.m. or you can pre-register online or by mailing in a form.Memorial Day Good Turn
For more than five decades, nearly 4,000
scouts have gathered at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, located along the
banks of the Mississippi River, over Memorial Day weekend to place an American flag
at the grave of every deceased soldier within the cemetery’s fences. The tradition enters its 64th year in 2013 and is scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 26. Battle of Vicksburg 150th Anniversary
The Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site is planning to commemorate the Civil War victory of the Battle of Vicksburg and has asked for the help of local Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts for the event. The event takes place on June 29 at 2 p.m. at the Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site (7400 Grant Rd.).
