Venturing is a high adventure co-educational program for youth 14 to 20 years of age. The program is very versatile and can be implemented in a variety of ways. Some Boy Scout Troops use the Venturing program as an older Scout patrol, Girl Scout Troops utilize the Venturing Program to give their girls more program opportunities and religious organizations start Venturing Crews to help supplement their existing programs.
The reason these groups choose Venturing is because Venturing gives them the opportunity to utilize all of the amenities of the Greater Saint Louis Area Council and the National Council. All of our Scouting programs are also protected by the Boy Scouts of America's insurance, providing liability insurance to all of its members.
If you are interested in joining an existing Venturing Crew or you would like to know how to start your own Crew, contact Zoran Lazic at 314-256-3058 or zlazic@stlbsa.org.
