New Horizons Eagle Board of Review

*Note: Miriam does not schedule Boards of Review. To schedule an appointment, please call the coordinator listed below for the week you wish to attend.

Eagle Boards of Review meet on the first, second and fourth Wednesday of each month, 7 to 9 p.m., at Parkway United Church of Christ, 2841 N. Ballas Rd., St. Louis, MO  63131 (just north of Clayton Road -- the new church on the west side of Ballas on the lower level).

To schedule an appointment, please call the coordinator below for the week you wish to attend.  Appointments are not scheduled via e-mail; however, they are happy to answer your questions.

Reminders:
-Prior to calling for project proposal appointment, please make sure that you have obtained all of the required signatures (benefiting organization representative, unit leader, and committee member).
-Before requesting a final Eagle Board of Review appointment, all of your paperwork should have been turned in to Council for approval and returned to you. 
-When leaving a message, plese speak slowly and make sure to leave your name and phone number so that your call can be returned.  The weekly coordinators often receive calls but no phone number to call. 
 
Workbook Reminders
-If you are working on your project proposal, you must use the new workbook. 
-If you already received project approval using the "old" workbook, you will continue to use that workbook through your entire Eagle process.

NEWS UPDATE!
New age guidelines for tool use and working at elevations or excavations have been published by the National Council, Boy Scouts of America.  Scouts should utilize this information when developing their plan for their Eagle Scout Leadership Service project.

Eagle Board of Reviewers Needed
The number of Scouts that we can see on Eagle Boards is directly related to the number of reviewers that volunteer!  Currently, we are seeing a record number of Scouts working towards becoming Eagles and we are looking for additional people to volunteer to become reviewers!  You do not have to be registered in Scouting to serve.  If you would like to learn more or would like to help, please contact Miriam Love at miriam.love@live.com or 636-458-9033.

Life to Eagle Workshop
Scouts and their parents as well as Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters, Advancement Chairs, and Eagle Coaches/Mentors are encouraged to attend to learn more about the trail to Eagle.

Please take note of the classroom changes for the May workshops.
