STEM is a program designed to engage our youth members in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
We will have a hands on booth where Scouts can participate in a fun activity that emphasize these disciplines.

2013 District Pinewood Derby Race
Packs will be notified prior to the race of their "official" scheduled check-in time. All Scouts should adhere to their pack's check-in time. Scouts showing up more than 30 minutes prior to their pack's scheduled time will be asked to wait until their scheduled time. Please be aware, we have about 450 Scouts to race, so we must keep to our schedule. Scouts arriving more than 15 minutes after their pack's scheduled check-in time may not be able to race.
Don't be early, don't be late, be on time.
2013 District Pinewood Derby Design Competition (NEW registration process this year)
This is your Scouts' chance to let their creativity shine. No size or weight limits.
Open to ALL registered Cub Scouts in the New Horizons District, from Tiger Cub to 2nd-year Webelos, including those 2nd-year Webelos who have crossed over to a troop prior to the district race.
There is NO Design Competition entry fee this year. Yes, It's FREE.
All design participants will receive an Official 2013 District Pinewood Derby patch and Design Credentials badge.
Design rules can be found in the 2013 Rules packet. All cars must be registered by 12:30 p.m. or within 10 minutes of the final race.
