Scouting for Food
Scouting for Food was a huge success this year. The Greater St. Louis Area Council collected 2,147,027 items, making it the largest drive since 2008 when we amassed a council -record 2,196,237 items. Thank you to River Trails Scouting for Food chairman Patrick Howe for his work in making this year's drive so successful. District Dinner

Spark Plug Award
The annual Spark Plug Award is an award for an individual in
a Pack, Troop, Crew or Post who through their constant efforts, is a driving
force in their unit. It is an award for those who may otherwise never be
recognized at the district level for their contributions to their units. If you
feel someone in your Unit is deserving of such an honor, please take the time
to nominate them.

The Award of Merit is a council award
presented to districts in the same manner that the Silver Beaver Award is a
national award presented by councils. The award is available to all
Scouters who render service of an outstanding nature at the district
level. The award is made available annually on the basis of 1 for each 25
units, or fraction thereof. The district need not present all the awards
to which it is entitled each year.
