SCOUTQUEST 100

We hope every unit in the district is making plans to attend what will be the second largest Scouting event in the nation this coming summer, ScoutQuest 100.  The event will be held on the weekend of June 4-6 at Forest Park in St. Louis.  We have a great team put together led by Campmaster Stan Latimer to coordinate this event for our district .  Our promotions chairman is Kevin Teegarden, and he is willing to come to your pack, troop, crew or post to help get your Scouts excited about the event. Andy Graf is Physical Arrangements chairman and Charlie Wilson is our Mobilization chairman.

In conjunction with ScoutQuest 100, we are doing a Gateway Competition and we are asking Scouts and leaders to use their creativity to come up with a gateway design that will let everyone in St. Louis know that we are here.  Details can be downloaded using the link below.

NEW UNITS
Studies have proven what common sense would tell us that the more opportunites that are available for boys to join quality scouting units in our area the more boys we will have involved in our program.  We are always looking for churches and organizations that would like to adopt Scouting as a part of their program.  If you know of a group or organization that you feel would benefit from having a Scouting program, please let us know by calling Charlie Herbst at 334-3297.

W.D BOYCE NEW UNIT ORGANIZER AWARD
Any Scouting volunteer can earn the W.D Boyce New Unit Organizer Award.  This is an award for volunteers who help a church or organization start a pack, troop, crew or post.  There is no better way for someone to help improve the quality and qualtity of Scouitng for the youth in our area.  For more information about how to help a group start a new unit, please click on the link below and please contact Chalrie Herbst at 334-3297or Bill Crowell at 335-3346 for assistance.
