Asa Boy Scout, you can learn and be a part of several programs offered through the local and national council. Here are some of the things a Boy Scout can experience.

WEEKEND CAMPOUTS ​PICTURE
DAY HIKES

Boy Scouts have the ability to check out some of the hiking trails offered in and outside the Saint Louis area, at Beaumont, S-F, Camp Lewallen and more. They range from approximately 4 miles all the way up to 21 miles and can be anywhere from easy to rough terrain.

SUMMER CAMP

When you think of Boy Scouts, the word "summer camp" may come to mind. Out different summer camps have been said to be some of the best programs in the country. In summer camp, you can learn new skills, earn merit badges, master your swimming, and do many fun activities like tubing, canoeing, and many others! Not only do we offer just summer camp, we also offer Ranger Camp, River Ranger Camp and Horse Camp.

NATIONAL YOUTH LEADERSHIP TRAINING (NYLT)

Not only does our council offer the best summer camp programs in the country, we are also known to have one of the best NYLT programs as well.

National Youth Leadership Training shows youth how to enhance their leadership skills in an outdoor environment. Former youth who have attended this camp have enjoyed it so much that they often volunteer to become staff for the next year. Click the link below to get more information!

PHILMONT SCOUT RANCH

Philmont Scout Ranch is the Boy Scouts of America's largest national high-adventure base. It provides an unforgettable adventure in the high country along hundreds of miles of rugged, rocky trails.

NORTHERN TIER

The Northern Tier High Adventure Program is a fund and challenging program headquartered in Ely Minnesota. They have three other areas where they offer programs including two other locations in Canda: Atikokan, Ontario and Bissett Manitoba.

Some of the programs offered are canoeing, fishing, wilderness safety, and dog sledding.

FLORIDA SEA BASE

The Florida National High Adventure Sea Base is headquartered in Islamorada, Matecumbe Key. There are two other locations; Brinton Environmental Center in the Summerland Key and Bahamas Sea Base which is in Marsh Harbour, Great Abaco Island, Bahamas.

Florida Sea Base offers a year-round opportunity to explore a completely different type of wilderness - the underwater wilderness. Some of the programs include sailing, power bats, kayaking, and scuba diving.

NATIONAL ADVANCED YOUTH LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE (N.A.Y.L.E.)

The National Advanced Youth Leadership Experience (NAYLE) is the ultimate in training experiences for youth leaders, both young men and women. It is conducted for older Scouts who have the potential for being on the staff of the council junior leader training or youth leader training conference. This training program is offered at the Philmont Scout Ranch.
