St Louis University will be hosting their Merit Badge University! They will be offering the following badges:
Chess
Citizenship in the Nation
Citizenship in the Community
Space Exploration
Traffic Safety
Weather
Crime Prevention
Environmental Science
First Aid
and many more.
They will also be offering adult training during the event as well.
The event will be held on Saturday, December 10th, 2011 from 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM. This event is FREE!
In order to register, you will need to sign up online. Sign-ups begin mid-October!
Before you register, you should consider the following:
The form should be considered a "Pre-Registration." They will ask for your top three choices and let you know within a week if you were placed into one of the badge classrooms. They will send a packet to your Scoutmaster with your invitation to attend, important schedule information for both Scouts and guardians, and a form to mail back to them for payment and confirmation of attendance.
They will require pre-payment for this MBU and will except cash, check or money orders. Again, this information will be sent to your Scoutmasters with an invitation into the badge class.
We recommend choosing at least one (1) non-eagle-required badge for your top three choices as we anticipate those will fill up first.
They will decide who attends which badge with a combination of the following factors:
Age
Rank
Time of Registration
Badges of Choice
