Disability Awareness Merit Badge

Have you ever set up a tent with one arm behind your back? Can you tie simple knots without seeing the rope? In this one day workshop, Scouts will face individual and group challenges from the perspective of a person with a disability. Participants will visit with various agencies that support individuals with physical and mental disabilities. Scouts should bring a sack lunch and be prepared to learn while having fun! To earn the merit badge, Scouts should complete requirements 4, 5, and 7 prior to the workshop. The workshop is free and space is limited, so sign up early by calling Kerrianne Duggan at 314-256-3108 or kduggan@stlbsa.org. The deadline to register for this workshop is August 31, 2012.
