What is Leader Outdoor Experience (LOE)?
Leader Outdoor Experience (LOE) is an overnight
supplemental training for all leaders involved in the
Cub Scout program.
 
What will I Learn?
In this training, You'll learn:
  • To give aid in constructing a well rounded program for the youth both indoors and outdoors.
  • To be prepared to  take your dens and packs outdoors and not be terrified of the unknown.
  • To become familiar with techniques for teaching youth about fire building, hiking, nature and many more fun activities.
  • To work with other leaders and share ideas with them. The leaders are placed in dens which are comprised of leaders from all districts and packs throughout the council. Each den will also have a den counselor to share ideas and answer questions while guiding you through the program.
When is LOE?
LOE is offered four times a year, two courses in the spring and two in the fall. Normally the course is offered twice at Beaumont (spring and fall), once at
Camp Lewallen and once at Pine Ridge.

How much is it and what is included?
The registration fee is $20.00 and includes 3 meals and course materials.
 
What time does it start and how long is the course?
Registration is at 8:00 AM and the course starts at 8:30 AM on Saturday
morning and runs through Sunday afternoon until approximately 1:30PM.
