This course is designed to meet the needs of those who go into areas that are beyond the reach of urban EMS.  There is a certification process and it is required for many high adventure programs and outings. It is approximately 16 hours of training for situations during which help is delayed.  It will be required for those units taking a trek to the Philmont Scout Reservation, Northern Tier and Florida Sea Base and is recommended for back country camping, hiking, canoeing, or other high adventure.

***YOU MUST BE CERTIFIED IN CPR WITH AED BEFORE TAKING THIS COURSE.***

The training program will be held at Beaumont Scout Reservation and S bar F Scout Ranch. You can bring a tent and camp overnight at Beaumont or spend the night in Swift Lodge.  There is no charge for tent camping or Swift Lodge. You will need to bring your own food for the weekend and a first aid kit. Please be sure to dress appropriately for the weather as there will be some outdoor activities.
