What is Pow Wow?
Pow Wow is an all-day event just for Cub Scout leaders that shows them a variety of different things to help their pack’s program grow.
What will I learn?
You will learn things like how to manage boy behavior, making den meetings fun with games, puzzles, and crafts; learning how the advancement program works, developing a budget for your pack, learning Pack Master and much more!
How much does it cost?
The price is $20.00. This registration fee includes lunch, a Pow Wow CD and a patch.
Does this include lunch?
Absolutely! Your lunch will be a sub sandwich, chips, banana, cookies, and a bottle of water.
Will I get all the classes I choose?
This depends on two things: when you turn in your registration and what times the classes are scheduled. Normally the classes are offered more than once and our staff does their best to schedule them so that everyone may have the sessions they want.
What is a Midway?
A Midway is a place for vendors to promote their products. Last year’s vendors included fundraisers such as T.J.’s Pizza, Trail’s End and St. Louis Peco Flake Company; fun outdoor programs such as canoe rentals, and floating; places for entertainment including Reptile Experience, The Magic House, and Sophia M Sach Butterfly House. The Scout Shop will also be there to sell a few items. The Cub Scout Day Camp Staff will be selling crafts, old patches and t-shirts from previous events.
When Does it Start?
Registration and check-in starts at 7:30 AM. A songfest will start off the Pow Wow at 8:15 along with an opening at 8:35 AM prior to the classes. Classes are 50 min sessions and last until about 3:00 PM which will include a closing ceremony.
